An outgrowth of the more individualized approach to the learning needs of the students is the provision for field trips. Field trips are encouraged, provided the following guidelines are followed:

1. The field trip shall be a definite learning experience.

1. The students shall be prepared for the observations they will make on the trip.

1. The students shall be given a follow-up assignment which will help them assimilate the knowledge they have gained from the field trip.

1. Signed permission from the parent/guardian for each trip must be on file. No child will be permitted to go on a field trip without the express permission of the parent or guardian.

1. Approval for any field trip must be obtained from the principal.

1. Field trip driver information including drivers license and insurance information must be furnished to the school.
