It is preferable that medicines are scheduled to be given when students are not in school.
Parents may come to school and administer medicine to their children.
A medication form is REGUIRED for prescription and non-prescription medication. This form MUST be signed by the parent and physician. This form may be obtained in the school office.
PRESCRIPTION MEDICATIONS:
1. Must be turned in to the office.
2. Must clearly identify the child’s name and the type of medication.
3. Must be in the original container.
4. Must have a prescription label with the child’s name, drug identity, dosage instructions, physician’s name, and prescription date.
5. Must be current.
6. Must be given by either the school secretary or principal.
NON-PRESCRIPTION MEDICATIONS:
1. A signed medication form (obtained in school office) from a physician is required stating as needed for tylenol, advil etc.
2. Must be in the original container.
3. Must be marked with the child/childrens names.
The student should go to the office at the designated time to receive the medication. Remembering to take the medication is the responsibility of the student.
Refrigeration is available.
